Young Women in NCW |
Following on from these, schools, colleges and universities can form Links with NCW which leads to further benefits. These Links receive NCW newsletters, with a dedicated page for young women, and take part in national questionnaires on topical issues. Thus the voice of young women plays a part in formulating NCW policy and resolutions which are taken forward to Government and other organisations. Issues on which young women have shared their views include work/life balance, children in prison and the sexualisation of children in the media and marketing. There is a great opportunity for young women to listen to first-class information, to have a voice and to make a positive contribution to the improvement of our society.
What the students said about intergenerational events: More information on being a part of NCW's link with young women is available from NCW's Young Women's Committee. Please contact us for more details. |
NCW offers young women the chance to engage in workshops where they can learn about vital issues which concern our society as well as participate in discussions and debates on these issues with both their contemporaries and older women. These successful intergenerational seminars have been and continue to be held in different parts of the country including Nottingham, Darlington, Hereford and London.
