SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER, 2025
NCWGB is delighted to welcome you to its Autumn Event and AGM at the Bannatyne Hotel, Darlington.
The programme
In our wide-ranging programme, we will be debating three vitally important resolutions, electing our management committee and reviewing NCWGB’s work in the past year. The programme will end with a speaker panel addressing the issue of violence against women. Our panel will include Meena Lawar Hosham, a refugee who fled a totalitarian regime and an abusive relationship; Professor Anica Zeyen, Royal Holloway University of London who will explore the particular issues faced by women who are disabled; and Eleanor Lyons, Commissioner for Trafficking.
Welcoming deaf participants
This year, as part of our policy to widen accessibility to our events, we are delighted to welcome our deaf colleagues. The whole meeting will be BSL interpreted and there will be a hearing loop available.
