Challenge
We make representations to Government and the powers that be
We voice our concerns about issues affecting women of all ages and the wider society through persistent activity. We provide resources and opportunities to ensure that women and girls can make informed perspectives. Then we make representations to the Government and the powers that be.

Events and consultations
We hold a variety of events including online debates, face to face conventions and focused meetings, open to our members and the general public. We work with a diverse range of expert organisations and individuals, to ensure high quality advice and information. These help us to identify key priorities, raise awareness of significant issues and agree the actions required to bring about change.
International work
We have special consultative status at the UN (ECOSOC Status) and send delegates to their annual Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York and their events throughout the year. We also take an active role in the International Council of Women, participating and presenting our key concerns at their worldwide congresses. Our International Sub-Committee meets regularly to support CSW/ICW delegates and to discuss international concerns.

Resolutions
All members and associates have the opportunity to raise their priority concerns. Ideas are collated and assessed against Government and Select Committee activity, to establish the best course of action. Presentations are made at our Autumn AGM, and those supported by the wider membership become a “˜Resolution’ to be taken to Government. Resolutions remain active until change is obtained. We have supported our members to challenge a wide range of topics, for details see links to change section.
Challenge campaigns
Based on the topics of our resolutions, we engage with the Government, Select Committees, MPs and influential bodies, encouraging them to bring about positive change. We provide resources to update our members and opportunities for them to take an active role in encouraging positive change, such as our monthly current affairs update and draft letters for their MP. Whenever possible we unite with like-minded organisations, to add strength to our mutual voices.
