Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood has announced that prisoners convicted for non-fatal strangulation, domestic abuse, stalking, and controlling or coercive behaviours in an intimate or family relationship, will be excluded from a temporary scheme to cut prisoner sentence lengths.

NCW is campaigning to raise awareness of the dangers of non-fatal strangulation and is working with the Institute For Addressing Strangulation.

They are campaigning for better policies, education, training, reporting procedures, and support services at universities.
