It’s Deaf Awareness Week, an opportunity to help break down communication barriers and encourage better communication between deaf and hearing individuals.
It is aimed at raising awareness about the Deaf community, their culture, and the specific communication needs of Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of the Deaf community and to promote the rights of Deaf people worldwide.
Our upcoming event, Access to Work for Deaf Women, is on Monday 19th May at 12.30pm. The event is aimed at deaf and hard of hearing women and family members of the deaf, relevant professionals are also welcome. BSL interpretation is provided.
